Yesterday morning In-Sung and Hanna were practicing together...a nice mini-concert.
On Saturday my Russian teacher, Svetlana, is taking Laura and me to Sergiyev Posad which is a city outside of Moscow. In Sergiyev Posad is the most important Russian Orthodox monastery in all of Russia. It is the Orthodox equivalent to the Vatican.
Then, Sveta is taking us to her dacha. I am so excited about this! I have not yet been to a dacha before. She lives ten minutes from the monastery. At her dacha we are going to have tea, and then we will take a short-distance train back to Moscow. I can't wait!
I need to post pictures of the convent Laura and I went to Sunday. It was...the best day ever. More on that later!
Love,
Meredith

From an "older person's" perspective--So many times we don't realize the full significance of something til years later. I think in your case you have taken advantage of every experience possible in Russia--worship, culture, friendship, teaching, etc. You don't need to "look back" because you're living it.
But, I think your experience in Russia will grow richer and richer through the years. And their memories of you will grow richer too. You made your mark.

That is so funny to me because you used to HATE the piano in the TFC cafeteria. I will give it to you though, that is much more enjoyable than the things played on the piano in the dining hall at TFC. You have such talented students! Enjoy your last couple days in Russia!!!
How nice! I like what David said...you've experienced worship, culture, teaching, friendship, and so much more while in Russia. What a blessed opportunity. I know you'll miss Russia and your new friends there, but I admit that I'm looking forward to your coming home. :) Love you!
In the words of Luke, "more music pwease!"
I agree with David. :) I think you've really had such a good attitude about your time there, taking every opportunity to meet people and do things while you're there... Your open-mindedness and cultural appreciation inspires me. :) I can't wait for you to come home though!!!
Your students play beautifully! :)
