Me & Laura. I am going to miss her so much!
Just a few days ago I was riding a boat and taking pictures of this bridge.
I'm leaving three days before their third biggest holiday. May 9th is Victory Day. The biggest holiday is New Year's, and the second is Women's Day. (Christmas doesn't even make it the top three.)

Everyone is coming out like cockroaches now that the weather is so nice. The city has turned the heat off in all the buildings and the fountains are now on.

This church had a service going on when we arrived. I lit a candle in front of Jesus and said a prayer. The smell of Orthodox candles is...heavenly.

It really is one of the saddest thoughts. I remember that was the thought that made me cry when leaving the Philippines,"Will I ever be back?" I cried even just a couple days ago realizing the answer to that question was probably no!
It's sad leaving things behind! Russia is so beautiful!!! I Am sure you will miss it!
It will be interesting to see if you experience culture shock!

Thanks again for sharing Russia with all of us. I'll probably never go there so you introduced me to parts of Russia I would never have known --with your pictures and thoughtful words. I hope you have a safe trip home and I look forward to talking to you soon.
